About the Role
You will own the strategy, design, compliance, and operation of US and global benefits programs. You will lead the benefits function, manage vendors and budgets, oversee Workday records and reconciliations, guide open enrollment, support employee inquiries, and advise leadership on benefits governance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive US benefits experience
- 3+ years leading a benefits function or directing work through brokers and vendors
- Experience owning benefits renewal cycles
- Expertise in health and welfare programs
- Expertise in ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, NDT, and 5500s compliance
- Experience at scaling technology companies
- Experience supporting benefits integration for mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
- Experience with international or global benefits administration
- Workday Benefits experience
- Advanced Google Sheets or Excel expertise
- Executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, design, and roadmap for US and global benefits programs
- Evaluate program performance and market trends
- Define and track benefits program metrics
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling
- Lead and develop the benefits function
- Manage vendor selection, RFPs, negotiations, contracts, and renewals
- Oversee vendor integrations and performance
- Process, audit, and reconcile benefits invoices
- Oversee benefits records and transactions in Workday
- Reconcile benefits enrollments with payroll deductions
- Lead enrollment audits, system implementations, and communication campaigns
- Lead benefits integration for mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
- Manage the employee benefits experience and complex escalations
- Lead annual Open Enrollment
- Plan and execute wellness and wellbeing initiatives
- Own benefits compliance and governance
