About the Role

You will serve as the technical lead for the Malta office, taking a security-first approach to manage Apple ecosystem endpoints, automation, identity lifecycle, and compliance. You will design and operate identity and access management, administer MDM and EDR configurations, provision and lifecycle devices, troubleshoot macOS and network issues, automate repetitive tasks, refine onboarding and offboarding processes, manage local vendor relationships, and produce clear technical documentation. You will act as the primary escalation point for complex technical problems and help ensure local operations meet global security standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration ideally focused on Apple and macOS environments
  • Knowledge of DaaS platforms for identity management
  • Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN and experience managing office-grade network hardware
  • Proficiency in scripting to automate administrative tasks and API integrations (beneficial)
  • Experience with modern security tools including EDR and MDM configuration and familiarity with audit compliance frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues independently
  • User-centric service orientation and ability to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage the user directory and identity lifecycle using JumpCloud and SSO and MFA technologies to ensure zero-trust access
  • Develop and enforce IT security and compliance policies for endpoints and users
  • Monitor system integrity and respond to security incidents or policy violations
  • Oversee provisioning and automated enrollment (Zero-Touch) of Apple hardware and manage device lifecycle including secure off-boarding and wiping
  • Configure and maintain MDM policies to ensure laptops and mobiles are updated, encrypted, and compliant
  • Manage and troubleshoot office network infrastructure to ensure high availability and secure remote access
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement automation scripts and API integrations to streamline IT operations
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to resolve day-to-day operational tasks aligned with departmental needs
  • Refine the Joiner Mover Leaver process to automate access provisioning and immediate revocation on departure
  • Manage relationships with local hardware vendors and create technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
