About the Role
You will lead a team of Account Managers, Account Directors, and Key Account Directors serving AlphaSense's largest financial services clients, including hedge funds, private equity firms, and investment banks. You will move beyond day-to-day management to build the systems and processes that enable predictable growth across renewals, expansion, and adoption. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to drive commercial outcomes while bringing clarity, structure, and accountability to a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience in sales, account management, or client success
- 5+ years of direct people management experience
- 2+ year managing managers
- High aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to distill and explain complex issues in simple terms
- Experience operationalizing the customer journey
- Intelligent, articulate, consultative and confident client facing professional
- Personal motivation and ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture
- Superior ability to develop rapport with new people and maintain relationships
- Energetic and creative individual with natural curiosity and ability to learn quickly and adapt
- Outstanding oral, written and presentation skills
- Effective time management and task prioritization when under pressure
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Account Managers, Account Directors, and Key Account Directors to achieve and surpass renewal targets and uncover growth opportunities
- Work closely with Sales partners to drive growth across largest strategic accounts
- Drive successful customer outcomes by increasing renewal rates and reducing churn
- Expand revenue through building deeper relationships with accounts
- Influence future lifetime value through higher product adoption
- Achieve and exceed retention and expansion goals by coaching and modeling relationship-building
- Drive value realization through product utilization
- Accurately forecast retention and growth for book of business through operational rigor and inspection
- Own hiring, talent management and development for individual contributors and managers
- Implement and execute scalable performance management programs
- Collaborate with Sales to drive successful growth outcomes
- Act as a senior voice for the customer across the organization aligning with Product, Enablement, and Marketing
