About the Role
You will advise research, engineering, product, and cross-functional partners on legal issues arising from agreements and partnerships. You will draft, negotiate, and review commercial and technology agreements, develop legal playbooks and systems, and support compliance and counseling for research, product, and partnership activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant legal experience
- Expertise in technology transactions, intellectual property, and privacy issues
- Client counseling skills and practical, solution-focused legal advice
- Experience working directly with technical staff and technical counterparties
- Experience with in-house technology-product legal work
- Experience negotiating enterprise technology, data licensing, research collaboration, grant, safety partnership, or product integration agreements
- Knowledge of open-source licensing
- Familiarity with global AI, data privacy, and intellectual-property legal and regulatory frameworks
Responsibilities
- Advise partners on legal issues arising from agreements and partnerships
- Draft, negotiate, and review enterprise, licensing, technology, research, grant, product, safety, and other agreements
- Partner with product, research, and go-to-market teams on timelines and legal strategy
- Develop legal playbooks, systems, automation, and outside-counsel relationships
- Support compliance and counseling for research, product, and partnership pipelines, operations, initiatives, and launches
