About the Role
You will serve as a primary legal partner to Product and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle. You will advise on blockchain-data collection and use, AI and machine-learning features, intellectual property, privacy, data protection, product terms, and regulatory risks. You will create practical legal guidance, scalable frameworks, playbooks, and self-service resources.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active bar membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
- 6–8 years of legal experience with substantial product-counseling focus
- Experience advising Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
- Knowledge of data use and licensing, intellectual property, AI and machine learning, consumer-facing terms, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA
- Experience integrating AI tooling into legal workflows
Responsibilities
- Advise Product and Engineering on legal implications of product decisions from conception through launch
- Advise data teams on data collection, sourcing, licensing, and permissible use of first- and third-party data
- Counsel on AI and machine-learning feature development and deployment
- Advise on product intellectual property, licensing, and open-source use
- Draft and refine product-facing legal terms and documentation
- Partner with Privacy Counsel on privacy and data-protection implications
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical mitigations
- Build scalable legal frameworks, playbooks, and self-service resources
- Collaborate on regulatory matters, commercial agreements, and special projects
