About the Role
You will design and build backend services for an internal platform that tracks infrastructure, fleet health, capacity, and consumption. You will own domain models, event-driven workflows, integrations, and internal APIs. You will improve performance, reliability, data freshness, CI/CD, testing, deployment practices, and information-security decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience owning production systems end to end
- TypeScript backend proficiency
- Go proficiency or depth in another systems language and willingness to use Go daily
- Strong SQL and data-modeling skills for concurrency, state transitions, and audit requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating service architectures, event-driven workflows, and REST APIs
- Experience integrating telemetry streams, webhooks, and third-party APIs
- Ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous, high-stakes environment
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for the internal platform
- Own data modeling for lifecycle state machines, audit trails, and event histories
- Build and maintain integrations with GPU telemetry, provisioning, billing, PagerDuty, and ticketing systems
- Design APIs for internal teams and platform automation
- Drive performance, reliability, and data freshness
- Raise standards for CI/CD, test coverage, and deployment practices
- Apply information security principles to engineering decisions
- Collaborate with Cloud, SRE, datacenter, sales, and other stakeholders
