About the Role
You will lead the architecture and implementation of monetization systems. You will build payment experiences, billing APIs and abstractions, pricing and packaging features, and monitoring systems. You will improve reliability, diagnose complex billing issues, and create intuitive customer-facing billing interfaces.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience with strong backend skills
- Experience with subscription platforms, usage-based billing, SaaS taxation, payment platforms, or tokenization
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments
- Ability to debug complex billing issues and edge cases
- Experience implementing customer-facing billing interfaces
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of monetization systems
- Create payment experiences for product-led and sales-led motions
- Build monetization abstractions and APIs
- Iterate on pricing and packaging tactics, including coupons and referral systems
- Create monitoring and feedback systems to detect and resolve issues
- Optimize billing performance
- Build customer-facing billing interfaces that simplify pricing structures
