About the Role
You will serve as the primary scientific and technical solutions lead for prospective and existing customers. You will discover customer needs, understand protein-engineering workflows, present and demonstrate platform capabilities, address questions and objections, and share field insights that shape product priorities. You will also represent the organization at relevant industry conferences, develop reusable solution assets, and mentor other consultants.
Requirements
- Scientific academic degree, such as an MS or PhD, in biology, biochemistry, structural or molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of post-degree professional experience, preferably in a solution consultant or related customer-facing role.
- Ability to understand wet-lab experimental workflows relevant to enzyme and therapeutic-protein design.
- Strong foundation in life sciences R&D and familiarity with research scientists’ and computational biologists’ tools.
- Excellent communication skills to translate platform capabilities into value for scientists and research organizations.
- Ability and willingness to travel 20–40%, including internationally; passport required.
- Experience with scientific or informatics software such as LIMS or ELN is helpful.
- Experience with computational protein design and AI/ML techniques is helpful.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing high-throughput wet-lab workflows is a plus.

- Lead scientific and technical discovery to understand customer landscapes, projects, capabilities, and challenges.
- Understand customers’ protein-engineering workflows and research objectives.
- Develop presentations and deliver demonstrations that address customer challenges and differentiate offerings.
- Manage customer questions and objections while building credibility and trust.
- Attend relevant industry conferences and represent the organization to scientific and technical audiences.
- Bring field insights to product teams and influence the product roadmap.
- Develop solution assets and content to support customers and enable others to learn from your expertise.
- Mentor and partner with other scientific solutions consultants.
