About the Role
You will lead technicians performing complex robotics builds, rework, and repairs. You will manage build work, quality, safety, pace, risks, and blockers; assemble electro-mechanical systems; support testing and debugging; and coordinate with engineering and operations to resolve issues and improve builds.
Requirements
- Experience leading teams in electromechanical assembly or engineering product development
- 3+ years of electromechanical or complex-system hand-assembly experience
- Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems
- Ability to read CAD, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, soldering, and harness assembly
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians in robotics assembly, rework, and repair
- Report delivery status, risks, and blockers to the department head
- Drive team efficiency, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Allocate and track build work orders
- Resolve and escalate team blockers
- Identify delivery risks and coordinate mitigations
- Build electro-mechanical assemblies from CAD, drawings, and work instructions
- Perform mechanical assembly, harness routing, sensor installation, and connectorisation
- Support first-article builds and rapid design changes
- Identify build issues and implement fixes with engineering
- Assist functional testing of subassemblies and full robots
- Resolve build and performance issues
- Coordinate with test and integration teams
- Improve build speed, reliability, and quality
