About the Role

You will lead Forward Deployed Engineers embedded with customer engineering teams. You will scope and deliver strategic engagements, manage customer relationships, lead technical discovery and architecture reviews, coach engineers, improve delivery playbooks, communicate product gaps, and enable consulting partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar coding-focused function
• Software development and coding experience in Python and JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience building AI-native workflows in production and debugging model failures
• Ability to diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments and scope engagements
• Experience building and scaling individual-contributor technical teams

Responsibilities

• Qualify opportunities, lead architecture reviews, identify integration complexity, and scope engagements
• Build and present proposals with time-boxed deliverables and clear return on investment
• Drive deal strategy and present plans to C-suite stakeholders
• Serve as executive technical sponsor for strategic engagements and manage stakeholder relationships
• Ensure project scoping, milestone tracking, technical standards, and handoffs to customer engineering teams
• Identify and escalate product gaps, integration friction, and recurring customer pain to Product and Engineering
• Manage active engagements, coach Forward Deployed Engineers, and intervene on high-stakes accounts
• Build reusable playbooks for Forward Deployed Engineering
• Lead, develop, and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers
• Hire talent and set technical performance standards and career paths
• Train, enable, and maintain quality standards for GSI and consulting partners
