About the Role
You will manage a backend engineering team through one-to-ones, performance management, hiring, and career development. You will guide architecture and system design, balance new development with system modernization, set engineering principles, prioritize business-critical work, and work closely with product stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of people-management experience leading engineering teams
- 10+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Backend engineering background
- Distributed systems knowledge
- Java knowledge
- Spring Boot knowledge
- Web services knowledge
- Queueing framework knowledge
- REST API knowledge
- SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge
- Experience with ledgers, accounting, or financial systems is preferred
