About the Role

You will lead the Core Backend team and own shared services for quota management, onboarding, notifications, and APIs. You will set technical direction, maintain service reliability, partner across functions, manage priorities, and hire, mentor, and develop engineers.

Requirements

2+ years managing software engineering teams
6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
Experience building backend services in Go, Rust, Java, or C++
Experience designing and operating distributed systems or cloud platform services
Experience with gRPC or REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and Kafka, NATS, or Pub/Sub
Experience owning customer-facing production systems, SLOs, monitoring, alerting, on-call, and incident response
Experience leading a platform team serving other engineering teams
Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

Lead the Core Backend engineering team
Own shared quota management, notification, onboarding, and API services
Run quota and entitlement workflows
Lead self-service onboarding, organization state management, and automated KYC
Own customer notification services
Set and meet service SLOs
Run on-call operations and incident reviews
Guide architecture decisions and API standardization
Partner with Product, Customer Success, Security, and other engineering teams
Hire, mentor, and develop engineers
