About the Role
You will lead infrastructure engineers building and operating mission-critical distributed systems. You will set technical direction for workflow and storage foundations, improve reliability and operational health, collaborate with product and infrastructure partners, and develop engineers and emerging leaders.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading teams that run mission-critical infrastructure in production.
- Experience operating mission-critical services or core distributed-systems components.
- Experience building platform systems or large-scale storage, blob, or file infrastructure.
- Experience building systems across multiple cloud environments.
- Experience building scalable, reliable systems and improving operational health.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end in ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of infrastructure engineers.
- Lead teams building and operating critical production platforms.
- Build and operate distributed systems with SLOs, incident response, capacity planning, and reliability practices.
- Set technical direction for workflow, orchestration, file, blob, storage, and core-service foundations.
- Partner with product engineering, adjacent infrastructure teams, and finance or cost partners.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers and emerging leaders.
