About the Role
You will lead the design, implementation, and production operation of cloud-platform services. You will set technical direction, manage engineers, own roadmaps and delivery, strengthen reliability practices, and coordinate platform integrations across infrastructure systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering management experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems ownership
- 8+ years implementing production services in Python or Go
- Experience coordinating across compute, networking, and storage services
- Experience with multi-region deployments, cross-datacenter state management, and high availability
- Experience owning architecture, delivery, operations, and continuous improvement
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-platform services
- Own the technical roadmap for distributed, resilient, observable platform services
- Ensure reliable multi-datacenter and multi-region platform operations
- Make architectural decisions for distributed services, APIs, schedulers, controllers, and automation
- Define integration contracts across platform, compute, networking, fleet, security, and customer-facing systems
- Lead, hire, develop, and manage senior and staff engineers
- Own project planning, prioritization, and delivery
- Establish engineering practices for testing, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and on-call operations
- Resolve cross-functional dependencies and deliver customer outcomes
- Improve engineering leverage through automation and AI-assisted engineering
