About the Role
You will lead engineers who build and operate production detection, mitigation, and automation systems for frontier-model risks. You will set technical direction, prioritize execution, partner with Research and Product, strengthen reliability and observability, and grow engineering capability across backend, data, and applied ML domains.
Requirements
- Experience building systems in adversarial, fast-evolving environments
- Significant experience leading engineering teams and delivering production systems end-to-end
- Strong technical judgment in system design, distributed systems, data pipelines, observability, and operational reliability
- Ability to partner with Research, Product, and Security to reduce risk or abuse at scale
Responsibilities
- Lead software engineers building detection and mitigation systems for frontier-model harms
- Set the technical roadmap and execution strategy
- Build scalable production services, pipelines, tooling, instrumentation, and automation
- Partner with Research and Product to deploy tests, signals, and mitigations
- Drive architecture, reliability, monitoring, performance, and operational excellence
- Hire and develop engineers across backend, data systems, and applied ML
- Anticipate failures as agentic workflows scale
