About the Role

You will own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major Claude Science area. You will work with scientists to turn research workflows into product priorities, partner with research on model evaluations and failure modes, launch features, and drive enterprise readiness for regulated research.

Requirements

• Product management experience shipping technical products or equivalent product-direction experience
• Scientific or deeply technical background
• Knowledge of AI and LLM concepts, prompting, and evaluation methodology
• Data analysis using usage data, evaluation results, and user evidence
• User research and synthesis of expert feedback
• Written communication and stakeholder alignment
• 8+ years of product management or equivalent product leadership experience
• Scientific research or software-for-science experience
• Experience building model evaluations or benchmarks
• Experience shipping into regulated research environments

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major Claude Science area
• Interview working scientists and translate insights into priorities, requirements, and success metrics
• Partner with research to define target behaviors, shape evaluations, and surface model failure modes
• Drive model and feature launches from readiness criteria through early access and rollout
• Identify scientific domains, data sources, tools, and integrations to support
• Prototype ideas with Claude before committing engineering time
• Coordinate with safeguards, policy, security, and go-to-market partners
• Drive enterprise security, compliance, administrative, deployment, and procurement readiness
• Prioritize scientific domains, customer segments, and workflows
• Define and use success measures for AI research and development products
• Maintain awareness of the AI-for-science ecosystem
