About the Role
You will serve as a technical authority for industrial automation and controls. You will design, program, commission, and improve PLC-based control systems, robotic integrations, electrical systems, plant networks, and HMI/SCADA solutions. You will define technical standards, develop documentation, mentor engineers, and collaborate with manufacturing, safety, and compliance stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of industrial automation and controls experience, master’s degree with 8 years, or 14 years of hands-on experience
- Expertise in PLC ladder logic, structured text, and function block development
- Experience integrating and commissioning robotic manufacturing systems
- Expert knowledge of NEC, UL508A, and hazardous-area electrical design
- Proficiency in 4-20 mA and Ethernet networking, HMI/SCADA, and statistical process control data architecture
- Eligibility to obtain explosives licenses
- U.S. person status or eligibility for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Establish automation and controls standards, architectural patterns, and design guidelines
- Lead the design, programming, commissioning, and improvement of PLC-based control systems and robotic integrations
- Define and execute the automation technology roadmap
- Design compliant electrical systems, cabinets, and field wiring
- Design plant networking and data architectures for statistical process control
- Design HMI/SCADA systems and maintain electrical documentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing, safety, and compliance stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance, peer review, and mentorship
