About the Role
You will design gantries and end effectors, analyze robot behavior, and improve mechanical reliability. You will install, commission, and debug robots; prototype an in-line PCB validation robot; and integrate mechanical, software, and process solutions in live production.
Requirements
- Experience building full robotic systems
- Mechanical engineering capability
- Ability to diagnose system-wide failures from first principles
- Ability to prototype mechanical and software fixes
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly with a remote team
- Ability to take responsibility for production uptime and performance
Responsibilities
- Design gantries and end effectors in Fusion 360
- Analyze end-effector behavior from video recordings and revise geometry to improve reliability
- Conceive mechanical systems to handle electronics parts
- Install, commission, and debug robots
- Prototype and deploy a test robot for in-line PCB validation
- Travel to the UK to brief R&D teams and shape roadmap priorities
