About the Role
You will design, build, document, test, and improve mechatronic systems for robotic factory deployments. You will integrate and commission sensors, actuators, control systems, and industrial automation hardware, while optimizing interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and software components for reliability and safety.
Requirements
- Experience in mechatronics, robotics integration, or automation engineering
- Hardware and software integration skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Ability to instrument, test, validate, and systematically debug electromechanical systems
- Documentation and version-control skills
- Startup experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 4–5 days per week from the San Leandro headquarters
- Ability to travel approximately 10% to solar construction sites
