About the Role
You will start up, commission, configure, and test PLC-controlled equipment at customer sites. You will connect HMI systems and PLCs, validate hardware and system performance, integrate customer WMS interfaces, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide technical support during go-live.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with PLC systems, including Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and HMI systems
- Familiarity with ABB and Fanuc robotics
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP and ProfiNet
- Experience with Panel View Plus
- Proficiency reading electrical drawings
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows
- Ability to troubleshoot using Remote Desktop, SSH, and web browsers
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to comply with lockout/tagout and fall-protection safety protocols
Responsibilities
- Commission HMI systems and establish PLC connections
- Conduct hardware testing and verify system performance
- Test system functionality and integrate customer WMS interfaces
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Maintain expertise in commissioning software and hardware
- Start up, commission, and test PLC-controlled equipment at customer sites
- Test adapter cells, storage solutions, safety systems, and WMS interfaces
- Start control cabinets, load software, configure systems, and validate performance
- Collaborate with engineering, software, and customer support during commissioning and go-live
- Commission PLC controllers and HMI systems
