About the Role
You will set the long-term architecture for high-throughput transactional systems. You will design and review distributed microservices, optimize payment and ledger flows, establish engineering standards, lead AWS strategy, embed security and compliance, and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience architecting large-scale payment platforms, ledger systems, or high-volume financial infrastructure
- Expertise in microservices architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems
- Experience designing and operating high-traffic AWS applications
- Understanding of financial database patterns, transaction atomicity, consistency models, and distributed data
- Ability to influence technical direction and manage stakeholder expectations
- Knowledge of security in regulated industries and protecting sensitive financial data
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term technical architecture
- Lead the design and review of distributed systems and microservices
- Architect payment processing, ledger management, and financial data consistency systems
- Define architecture principles, coding standards, and deployment patterns
- Lead AWS strategy and optimize resource utilization, latency, and cost
- Integrate security-by-design principles and financial compliance requirements
- Mentor senior engineers, lead architecture reviews, and guide technical decisions
