About the Role
You will provide technical leadership across complex software projects, from architecture and delivery through performance, security, and reliability. You will set engineering standards, mentor engineers, improve development practices, and work with stakeholders to align technical work with business goals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Experience with large-scale systems and application architecture
- Experience with Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of Python, Flask, FastAPI, and AWS
- Understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices
- Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation
- Problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Right to work in the jurisdiction where you will work
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable systems
- Define, communicate, and enforce coding standards and development methodologies
- Drive architectural decisions and align technical strategies with stakeholders
- Lead complex projects from conception through delivery
- Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and mitigate delivery risks
- Own system and application performance, security, and reliability
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Provide constructive feedback through code reviews
- Collaborate on integrating new features and technologies
- Implement practices, tools, and processes that improve efficiency and code quality
- Conduct root-cause analysis and drive long-term improvements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and introduce innovative solutions
- Communicate technical concepts to engineering teams and other departments
- Contribute to technical discussions and strategic decisions with senior leadership
- Gather and address stakeholder feedback
