About the Role
You will design and build scalable data services and blockchain-data features. You will architect data models, collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams, translate user needs into data solutions, document technical decisions, and mentor engineers or analysts.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience architecting scalable API development and distributed systems and delivering projects to production.
- Demonstrate exceptional Python programming skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL.
- Have experience with BigQuery and Postgres.
- Have experience building pipelines, data platforms, or ML/BI workflows from scratch.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design for performance, scale, and efficiency.
- Have experience mentoring engineers or analysts.
- Be proficient with Airflow and DBT.
- Have expertise with Dataflow, Spark, Kafka, and Flink.
- Be competent with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog in public-cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrate ability to load, query, and transform extensive datasets.
Responsibilities
- Build highly scalable features that integrate with dozens of blockchains.
- Design and architect data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and sub-second blockchain-data queries.
- Partner with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to design and implement data models.
- Translate user needs into scalable data solutions.
- Write clear design documents, communicate tradeoffs, and build alignment across disciplines.
- Mentor engineers or analysts.
