About the Role
You will own biweekly US and international payroll operations, work with EOR partners, support employee changes, and resolve payroll questions. You will optimize HRIS integrations, build payroll reporting, maintain controls, complete reconciliations and filings, and improve compliant payroll processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience owning multi-state payroll across 10+ states
- Experience with payroll or HRIS platforms and system integrations
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour rules, and payroll compliance
- Collaboration and communication skills in virtual or hybrid environments
- Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
Responsibilities
- Process biweekly multi-state US payroll
- Manage international payroll through EOR partners
- Coordinate employee onboarding, transfers, terminations, leave, and compensation changes
- Respond to employee payroll questions
- Optimize HRIS, ATS, 401(k), and expense-platform integrations
- Build AI-assisted payroll dashboards and analyze payroll data
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, internal controls, and payroll SOPs
- Perform payroll and benefits reconciliations
- Administer 401(k) contributions and support audits
- Prepare payroll tax, workers' compensation, and local tax filings
- Monitor payroll regulations and improve payroll processes
