About the Role

You will oversee daily cash reconciliation and exception management, ensure breaks are identified and resolved promptly, and manage operational risks and controls. You will lead and develop employees, drive automation and process improvements, monitor operational metrics, manage change initiatives, and coordinate issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Have at least five years of financial services experience, preferably in investment management, fund accounting, global custody, or related operations.
  • Experience with reconciliation, exception management, or middle-office operations is preferred.
  • Have at least three years of people-management or supervisory experience, including employee development and performance management.
  • Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and risk-management capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Deliver strategic and tactical improvements to operational effectiveness and control environments.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive issues through resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management, goal setting, career development, and feedback.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, succession planning, and location strategy.
  • Oversee daily cash reconciliation and exception-management activities.
  • Ensure the timely identification, escalation, and resolution of reconciliation breaks.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate operational risks and control issues.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, controls, and procedures.
  • Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements that strengthen controls and reduce risk.
  • Monitor and report operational metrics.
  • Lead standardization, automation, and other change initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effects of upstream process changes on reconciliation activities.
  • Build stakeholder relationships and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Drive positive client outcomes.
