About the Role

You will maintain and improve payment processes covering deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations, verification, and investigations. You will own controls, support audits and regulatory reviews, build performance reporting, investigate fraud and incidents, automate manual work, and translate operational needs into practical solutions with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Have substantial payment-operations experience in financial services or another regulated environment
• Understand deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations, verification, and payment investigations
• Have experience supporting audits and owning or remediating operational controls
• Be able to define and manage performance metrics
• Have strong analytical and data skills
• Be confident using reporting and business-intelligence tools
• Have a record of process improvement
• Automation or transformation delivery experience is desirable
• Have excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Be able to balance business-as-usual delivery with change and improvement

Responsibilities

• Maintain, document, and improve payment processes across deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations, verification, and investigations
• Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and client friction and implement improvements
• Maintain standard operating procedures, process maps, and knowledge resources
• Provide operational guidance and second-line support
• Prepare new payment methods, providers, and products for operational launch
• Support audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory examinations
• Prepare audit evidence, walkthroughs, and control documentation
• Own payment operations controls and implement enhancements arising from audit and risk findings
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, financial-crime, and internal policy requirements
• Contribute to risk assessments and maintain an evidenced control environment
• Define, track, and report payment operations KPIs and service levels
• Build and maintain dashboards and management information
• Analyze performance trends and drive corrective action
• Report operational performance to leadership and stakeholders
• Monitor payment activity for fraud indicators and operational risk
• Conduct transaction quality and control reviews
• Investigate incidents and errors, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures
• Identify and advance automation and straight-through processing opportunities
• Partner on tooling, self-service, and system improvements
• Act as the operational contact for payment-related projects
• Translate operational needs into practical, controlled solutions
