About the Role
You will oversee the sound operation of a regulated payment entity providing account information and payment initiation services. You will manage regulator relationships, reporting, audits, outsourcing governance, continuity planning, operational controls, risk frameworks, customer onboarding, and financial governance while coordinating required travel to Liechtenstein.
Requirements
- Operational leadership experience within a regulated financial institution
- Experience with Liechtenstein or wider EEA regulation
- Experience with licence applications and regulator engagement preferred
- Payments experience including open banking AIS and PIS
- Knowledge of payment operations and related regulatory obligations
- Experience with outsourcing governance and licensed entities using technology providers
- Digital asset sector exposure preferred
- Ability to act as a controlling function before the FMA
- Sound judgment and personal accountability
- Ability to work with distributed colleagues across time zones
- Suitability for a controlling-function role under the FMA assessment
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational contact for the FMA
- Ensure operations remain within the entity's authorisation
- Own regulatory reporting and coordinate statutory and regulatory audits
- Support board and executive governance activities
- Oversee delivery of AIS and PIS services
- Govern technology outsourcing service levels and sub-outsourcing controls
- Own business continuity and incident management
- Oversee customer onboarding support routing and data governance
- Maintain effective AML/CFT operational ICT and outsourcing controls
- Ensure compliance with Liechtenstein and EEA regulations including PSD2 ZDG and DORA
- Maintain the risk register and control framework
- Oversee commercial and financial governance
- Provide operational sign-off on customer onboarding
