About the Role
You will oversee end-to-end operations for a regulated Irish payments business, including transaction processing, customer operations, payment flows, reconciliations, and service delivery. You will lead DORA-aligned operational resilience, govern critical ICT vendors and outsourcing, strengthen AML/CFT operational controls, use data and AI-assisted analysis to identify weaknesses, and report clearly to boards and regulators.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in payments, fintech, money remittance, or regulated financial services.
- Executive or senior leadership experience with direct regulatory accountability.
- Hands-on experience in transaction processing, customer operations, payment processor relationships, and ICT vendor oversight.
- Familiarity with the Central Bank of Ireland regulatory framework, PSR requirements, and DORA.
- Experience designing scalable controls-led processes and remediating control weaknesses.
- Experience communicating with boards, regulators, and external partners.
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Prior PCF or equivalent SMF experience is preferred.
- AML/CFT experience within an Irish or EU-regulated entity is preferred.
- Experience scaling operations across multiple markets is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operational performance including transaction processing, customer operations, payment flows, reconciliations, and service delivery.
- Lead operational resilience covering ICT governance, incident management, business continuity, and outsourcing oversight.
- Use data and AI-assisted analysis to identify control weaknesses and prioritize improvements.
- Govern vendor and outsourcing arrangements in line with CBI and EBA standards.
- Partner with the MLRO on AML/CFT operational controls.
- Support risk and compliance leaders with operational controls, processes, and data flows.
- Lead cross-functional accountability and customer-focused operational standards.
