About the Role
You will own end-to-end launches of local financial products in target markets. You will spend significant time in each market, manage regulatory and legal expansion processes, define local operationalization strategies, remove blockers, and coordinate 100-day launch plans. You will hire and coach initial local staff, identify risks and gaps, and continuously improve the market-launch playbook.
Requirements
- Roughly 6 to 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity operations, or an operating role in regulated fintech or payments
- Ability to write high-quality formal documents and represent the company in high-stakes meetings
- Business and technical acumen across pricing, technology, legal, and compliance workstreams
- Experience driving complex projects to completion without direct reporting authority
- Ability to deliver quickly and effectively despite challenges
- Interest in technical topics
- Willingness to spend significant time in target markets
- Based in New York or Madrid, or willing to relocate
- Native or fluent English
Responsibilities
- Spend significant time in person in each market you launch
- Own market launches end to end until the business can operate without you
- Manage local regulatory and legal processes for licence expansion or transfer
- Define and execute the operationalization strategy for each market
- Identify and solve blockers to rapid market launches
- Coordinate and drive a 100-day plan, including owners, sequencing, reporting, and escalation
- Identify, hire, and coach key local roles
- Detect unscoped licences, gaps, and remediations before they become problems
- Own and improve the market-launch playbook
