About the Role
Own key corporate accounting areas, manage monthly and quarterly close under U.S. GAAP, improve and automate finance processes, establish internal controls, lead audit readiness, and develop accounting professionals in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification.
- 8+ years of prior work experience; public accounting experience is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven success creating efficiencies, systems, and controls in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
- Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
Responsibilities
- Own corporate accounting areas, including expense accruals, reconciliations, accounts payable, and complex balance-sheet and profit-and-loss accounts.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close process in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to improve scalability and close efficiency.
- Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting, including control design, documentation, and remediation of deficiencies.
- Serve as the primary contact for external and internal auditors and ensure audit readiness.
- Lead and develop corporate accounting professionals through oversight, coaching, and performance management.
