About the Role
You will lead the technical design, development, integration, and testing of propulsion systems and VTVL vehicles. You will define requirements, configurations, technical budgets, trade studies, fault management, interfaces, verification and validation plans, and risk mitigations. You will prepare technical documentation, lead presentations, support proposals, and resolve technical risks with partners and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field plus 5 years of relevant space-mission experience with leadership roles
- Experience with liquid-propellant rocket systems, propulsion systems, avionics or electronics systems, software engineering, embedded systems engineering, systems engineering, systems integration and test, verification and validation, or system configuration management
- Experience as a technical lead across design, development, manufacturing, testing, and operations
- Hands-on hardware experience
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design, development, integration, and testing for propulsion systems and VTVL vehicles
- Develop concepts of operations, mission and system requirements, design configurations, technical budgets, and trade studies
- Define launch-vehicle requirements, fault management, interface control, verification and validation plans, and technical risk mitigations
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation and reporting
- Lead technical presentations and demonstrations
- Assist with technical proposals
- Communicate with partners and customers to resolve technical risks and challenges
