About the Role
You will guide system development from requirements through demonstration, develop architectures and certification plans, coordinate engineering disciplines, host design reviews, manage systems engineering work, and review artifacts with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or a related subject
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience in FAA, EASA, or military certification programs, or 8+ years with a master's degree
- Experience solving complex aircraft integration and software systems engineering problems
- Experience facilitating work across hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, and test engineering
- Experience with requirements management tools and processes
- Experience integrating avionics or avionics-integrated mission equipment
- Experience developing and validating system requirements, architecture, and interfaces
- Familiarity with general aviation aircraft and integration
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Guide system development and traceability from requirements through demonstration
- Develop concepts of operation, system architecture, requirements, performance measures, and certification plans
- Capture and communicate requirements and interfaces across safety, hardware, simulation, and software
- Host architecture design reviews and review artifacts
- Manage systems engineering tasking and align disciplines
- Develop systems engineering plans and processes
- Review artifacts with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
