About the Role
You will own and secure the organization’s SaaS platforms, device fleet, office IT, backups, and disaster recovery. You will establish security baselines, maintain ISO 27001 certification, coordinate incident response, support technical leaders, and manage the external security consultant relationship.
Requirements
- Experience administering and securing SaaS environments, especially Google Workspace, identity, access, and SSO
- Experience managing and securing macOS devices through MDM, endpoint security, and patching
- Working knowledge of office networking and physical access systems, or ability to learn quickly
- Comfort with scripting and automation, including modern LLM tooling
- Familiarity with common security threats, sensible defaults, and risk assessment
- Ability to engage technical colleagues and balance project, IT, and security requirements
Responsibilities
- Configure and secure SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, Linear, Benchling, 1Password, and LLM tooling
- Manage MacBooks through MDM, endpoint security, and patching
- Own office IT including WiFi, networking, access control, printers, and AV
- Build and test backup and disaster-recovery capabilities
- Set security baselines and guide cross-team security decisions
- Maintain ISO 27001 certification
- Implement IT operations and security best practices with technical leaders
- Own incident response and coordinate wider responses
- Manage the external security consultant relationship
