About the Role
You will lead technical strategy and project execution for regional scientific applications. You will translate commercial needs into technical work packages, serve as the technical contact for projects and partnerships, deliver technical projects, manage and mentor local teams, allocate resources, and align regional work with engineering and research roadmaps.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related computational field
- Computational modelling background in chemistry or materials science
- Subject-matter expertise in relevant materials-science disciplines such as semiconductors, catalysis, separations and surfaces, or energy materials
- Experience line-managing, mentoring, and developing technical teams
- Experience translating external-project requirements into deliverables
- Ability to translate complex deep-tech concepts into commercial requirements and vice versa
- Experience operating across technical and commercial domains
Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical contact for projects and partnerships in Singapore
- Develop and articulate platform capabilities to partners and potential clients
- Write technical proposals, define project objectives, and deliver technical projects
- Translate commercial requirements into technical work packages and deliverables
- Map project timelines and resource allocation with technical stakeholders
- Grow and manage a local team of Application Scientists
- Set performance goals and mentor technical staff
- Provide line management and technical guidance to regional ML and ML Ops engineers
- Align regional technical strategy with platform and research-development roadmaps
- Coordinate with ML teams and experimental lab partners on project execution
