About the Role

You'll sit at the heart of the organization as the senior People leader in the region, partnering closely with the US senior leadership team to shape and deliver the people strategy. If you have a passion for strategic leadership, a strong grounding in talent and organisational design, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a senior strategic HR leadership role such as Head of People, Senior People Partner, or HR Business Partner leader, ideally in a scaling tech or international environment, with experience managing and developing a team
  • Business-savvy and commercially aware understanding of how organizations function and how to assess people needs
  • Credible with senior leaders, an excellent coach, and able to challenge with respect and empathy
  • Outcome-focused with a drive to simplify, improve or scale processes
  • Strong knowledge of US employment law and multi-state compliance, with exposure to international employment contexts an advantage
  • Tech and AI-fluent, comfortable using HRIS systems, survey platforms, spreadsheets, and AI solutions
  • Energized by change, resilient and flexible, able to operate well in ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted People partner to the US senior leadership team, providing strategic partnership and support on all people-related matters
  • Own and execute the People strategy for the US, aligning with the global People leadership team on talent development, engagement, culture, and change
  • Use data and insight to spot patterns, guide senior leadership decision-making, and lead workforce planning, organisational design, and succession for the US
  • Embed company-wide initiatives such as performance processes, compensation cycles, and hybrid working models across the US
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters in the US
  • Lead, manage and develop the US People Partners, building capability and consistency across the team
  • Advance culture and ways of working grounded in leadership behaviors and values
  • Own accountability for the US People function, including budget and headcount planning
  • Partner with senior leaders across the US to diagnose people needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Lead workforce and organizational planning for the US, including team structures and succession planning
  • Identify recruitment needs and partner with Talent Acquisition on role scoping, candidate selection, offers and onboarding
  • Facilitate personal development and growth through feedback, development conversations, and learning pathways
  • Own performance and conduct issues across the US, ensuring fair process and building manager confidence
  • Help managers navigate and apply the reward and compensation philosophy during annual cycles or off-cycle promotions
  • Analyse and translate people data into insight to support informed decision-making
  • Contribute to scaling culture and processes internationally with attention to inclusion and local nuance
  • Act as a critical voice on inclusion, wellbeing and psychological safety across the business
