About the Role
Lead Soter's broker development and distribution strategy across Asia Pacific, building specialty broker relationships, driving submission flow, representing the company at industry forums, and shaping the regional operating platform for digital asset insurance.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of specialty financial lines distribution experience across Asia Pacific.
- Existing relationships with global broking houses and credible engagement with crypto-native specialist brokers.
- Ability to distribute or place at least three relevant insurance lines, including D&O, PI, Crime, Specie, Slashing, or Cyber.
- Specialty financial lines background.
- Understanding of digital asset risks, custody architecture, MPC, HSM-based key management, exchange operations, staking, slashing, DeFi, bridge risk, and tokenisation.
- Ability to think across product lines, jurisdictions, and risk types.
- Excellent communication skills and technical literacy.
- Right to work in Hong Kong or capacity to obtain a Hong Kong Employment Visa sponsored by Soter HK Services Limited.
- Fluent English; Cantonese strongly preferred and Mandarin a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build, onboard, and manage a panel of Hong Kong-licensed specialty brokers.
- Establish Soter as a preferred capacity partner among licensed and regional specialty brokers.
- Route opportunities to the appropriate underwriting team and maintain weekly CRM-tracked APAC submission pipeline reports.
- Provide product training, technology walk-throughs, thought leadership, and market feedback to brokers.
- Represent Soter at panels, industry forums, regulatory bodies, and industry events across the region.
- Translate market feedback into product development and underwriting actions.
- Identify emerging risks and product opportunities across DeFi, tokenisation, Layer-2 infrastructure, and institutional custody.
- Help shape and scale Soter's regional operation.
