About the Role
You will design and run the global employment compliance program, including policies, audits, training, reporting, records governance, and background checks. You will monitor legal changes, partner on local compliance requirements, build investigation and case-management frameworks, and identify systemic employee-relations issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience in HR compliance, employee relations, People Operations, or employment law
- California employment law expertise
- Multi-state experience
- Experience with internal and external auditors
- Clear policy, investigation memo, and employee communication writing
Responsibilities
- Build the employment compliance framework and roadmap
- Audit practices against applicable legal requirements and close compliance gaps
- Define recurring compliance checks, schedules, and health metrics
- Own employee handbooks, required policies, templates, and policy governance
- Maintain employment records governance, privacy controls, retention schedules, and access controls
- Monitor global legislative changes and update policies and processes
- Drive compliance reporting and manage the background check program
- Own People compliance training through Ethena
- Create workplace investigation and case-management frameworks
- Maintain confidential case records and analyze trends
