About the Role
You will set the engineering strategy, technical direction, and organizational roadmap. You will lead and develop engineering teams, oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, establish engineering standards, manage technical roadmaps and program risks, and align execution with business, customer, and market priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 15 or more years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or a comparable high-technology industry
- 10 or more years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex technical programs
- Experience with modern engineering methodologies
- Experience leading full product lifecycles from concept through delivery
- Systems-level engineering and product-development knowledge
- Experience scaling engineering teams
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and aligning technical execution with business strategy
- Executive-level communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Set the engineering strategic vision, technical direction, and organizational roadmap
- Lead, scale, hire, mentor, and manage the engineering organization
- Oversee product lifecycles from concept through development, testing, certification, delivery, and post-deployment support
- Establish engineering standards for system design, development processes, quality, and operations
- Oversee product architecture, scalability, reliability, and sustainability
- Define and manage technical roadmaps
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, business development, and program pursuits
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, finance, and business teams
- Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risks
- Foster accountability, innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement
