About the Role
You will set technical direction for a compliance platform while remaining hands-on with code, designs, prototypes, and production incidents. You will hire and develop engineers, plan delivery with product partners, and improve reliability, observability, testing, incident response, and on-call practices.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating high-throughput event-driven distributed systems
- Hands-on engineering judgment
- Engineering management, coaching, performance management, and career development experience
- Experience delivering complex cross-team technical initiatives
- Collaborative technical leadership
- Interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies or eagerness to learn
Responsibilities
- Lead platform modernization and architectural decisions
- Plan incremental migrations, milestones, and safe rollouts
- Review code and design documents
- Contribute prototypes and targeted production fixes
- Hire, coach, manage, and develop engineers
- Partner with Product and upstream teams on the roadmap
- Make priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs explicit
- Set standards for reliability, latency, throughput, and data correctness
- Improve observability, testing, incident response, and on-call practices
