About the Role
You will lead the engineering organization responsible for Assets & Issuance. You will set technical strategy, roadmap, architecture, and delivery while growing teams of engineers and engineering managers. You will guide high-stakes technical decisions, strengthen reliability and operational controls, lead incident response, and partner with Product, Security, and Compliance. You will drive the design of wallets, key management, ledgers, settlement, and blockchain integrations, represent engineering to executive leadership, and improve software development, testing, and operations with AI and modern tools.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- 8+ years leading engineering teams, including managing managers
- Experience building systems from scratch and scaling technology and engineering organizations
- Experience leading a sizable engineering organization, including managers
- Experience building and operating complex distributed systems where correctness, reliability, and security are critical
- Technical depth in distributed systems, blockchain infrastructure, MPC or key management, high-availability systems, or security-sensitive financial software
- Experience working effectively with Product, Security, and Compliance
- Strong technical credibility in architecture, reliability, and technical decision-making
- Experience with money-moving infrastructure is strongly preferred
- Experience with blockchain protocols or smart contracts is preferred
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and delivery for Assets & Issuance
- Review designs, pressure-test tradeoffs, and lead hard technical decisions
- Hire senior engineers and managers and develop emerging leaders
- Set standards for on-call, incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational risk reduction
- Partner with Product, Security, Compliance, and control functions to build secure, auditable systems
- Break ambiguous problems into shippable pieces and adjust direction as you learn
- Drive architecture for wallets, key management, ledgers, settlement, and blockchain integrations
- Improve software development, testing, and operations with AI and modern tools
- Represent engineering to executive leadership
