About the Role
You will set technical strategy and architecture across data, exchange, and compute platforms. You will hire and lead engineers, establish standards for reliability and security, manage execution and delivery, and translate financial products and customer needs into a technical roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production software development experience
- 2+ years of engineering team leadership experience
- Experience scaling an engineering team and platform at an early-stage, high-growth company
- Experience with systems requiring correctness and uptime
- Backend and distributed systems expertise
- Architecture and technical tradeoff judgment
- Experience at a trading firm, exchange, market data provider, fintech, or crypto company
- Familiarity with GPU compute, cloud infrastructure, or datacenter operations
- Rust experience
- Experience with security and compliance programs such as SOC 2 or regulated financial products
Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy and architecture across data, exchange, and compute platforms
- Build and lead the engineering team
- Set standards for testing, code review, observability, incident response, and security
- Manage engineering planning, priorities, and delivery
- Partner with founders, product, and markets teams to create a technical roadmap
