About the Role
You will provide employment-law advice across the employee lifecycle, draft employment documentation and policies, lead or advise on investigations, and translate labor-law developments into practical workflows. You will manage outside counsel and train managers on employment compliance topics.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- 5+ years of focused employment-law experience
- Familiarity with US federal and California labor laws
- Ability to influence stakeholders with empathy
- Experience providing risk-adjusted solutions to complex personnel challenges
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and best practices on the employee lifecycle
- Draft and maintain employee handbooks, employment contracts, offer letters, leave administration, and internal policies
- Lead or advise on internal investigations
- Monitor global labor laws and regulatory mandates
- Translate legal developments into scalable business workflows
- Manage outside counsel for employment disputes and administrative charges
- Deliver manager training on anti-harassment, interview practices, and wage-and-hour compliance
