About the Role

You will advise on global labor, employment, compliance, and related legal matters. You will negotiate employment agreements, manage internal investigations, develop workplace policies and training, liaise with external counsel, and provide commercially sound, risk-appropriate legal guidance.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • 4–6 years of experience at a top-tier law firm and company in SaaS, data services, or technology industries
  • Membership in a U.S. state bar in good standing
  • Expertise in U.S. and global employment law
  • Experience advising companies in a pragmatic and commercial manner
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, critical thinking skills, and judgment
  • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and escalate risk
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across the company

Responsibilities

  • Advise on global employment law matters, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, equity, compensation, benefits, contingent workers, employee classification, and global mobility
  • Prepare and negotiate employment-related agreements, including employment and severance agreements
  • Support and manage internal investigations into employee misconduct, legal or policy violations, disputes, and litigation
  • Develop, implement, and review workplace and compliance policies, processes, and guidance
  • Develop company-wide training on employment and compliance matters
  • Liaise with external counsel in the United States and other jurisdictions
  • Promote scalable processes and procedures while prioritizing internal client satisfaction
  • Collaborate on legal and compliance functions, including employee compliance policies
  • Provide commercially astute, risk-appropriate decisions
  • Develop an understanding of products, services, and the business model
