About the Role
You will define and execute the Group's global data protection strategy and serve as the official Data Protection Officer. You will advise senior stakeholders on privacy, blockchain, AI, and regulated financial services; manage the data protection control framework; lead regulatory engagement, audits, incident response, and complex data-processing negotiations; and drive privacy training and awareness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of data protection experience
- Experience as an appointed Data Protection Officer
- Ability to navigate regulatory environments for digital assets and regulated financial services
- Fluency in English
- German at C1 level or higher
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM are advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve the enterprise data protection management system across international markets
- Serve as the official Group Data Protection Officer and primary contact for supervisory authorities
- Lead responses to regulatory inquiries and audits
- Provide privacy advice on initiatives involving data privacy, blockchain technology, and AI
- Own the data protection control framework and oversee monitoring, control testing, remediation, and reporting
- Oversee escalated data subject access requests and lead personal data-breach incident response
- Negotiate critical data processing agreements and international data transfers
- Monitor regulatory developments and deliver company-wide privacy training and awareness initiatives
