About the Role
You will serve as the Senior Intelligence Officer for the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration. You will lead intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber intelligence, budgeting, compliance, workforce, and interagency engagement activities to support national security decision-making.
Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Complete a one-year SES probationary period unless already completed.
- Pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
- File required confidential financial disclosures.
- Obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance and eligibility for SCI and Top Secret access.
- Demonstrate leadership of a complex national security or Intelligence Community organization across multiple mission areas.
- Demonstrate executive leadership in intelligence, counterintelligence, or national security that informs national policy and senior decision-making.
- Demonstrate the Executive Core Qualifications, including commitment to the rule of law, driving efficiency, merit and competence, leading people, and achieving results.
- Submit a resume of no more than two pages addressing the technical and executive qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership, strategic planning, and operational governance for intelligence and counterintelligence programs.
- Guide foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber intelligence, and mission-support activities.
- Establish strategic budget frameworks and personnel priorities.
- Present and defend resource and financial requirements before senior government stakeholders.
- Ensure intelligence collection, information systems, and special access programs comply with applicable law and security standards.
- Coordinate intelligence and counterintelligence components across the laboratory complex.
- Review and approve technical-assistance and reimbursable-work requests from external Intelligence Community partners.
- Represent scientific and technical intelligence capabilities before senior policymakers and external stakeholders.
- Direct recruitment, selection, performance evaluation, mentoring, and career-development activities for the intelligence workforce.
