About the Role
You will lead plant, process, and electrical technicians who operate, maintain, and repair power-generation systems. You will prioritize daily work, direct safe switching and maintenance activities, oversee contractors, maintain CMMS records, support outages and commissioning, and coach technicians to improve plant reliability and performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a power plant, generating station, or high-reliability industrial facility
- Willingness to perform hands-on work in varied weather, tight quarters, and at heights
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call schedules
- Ability to work in hazardous environments while wearing PPE
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Ability to work on-site at the power-generation facility
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Lead plant, process, and electrical technicians
- Schedule and prioritize daily maintenance work
- Direct switching, isolation, LOTO, start-up, shutdown, and restoration activities
- Maintain procedures, work orders, records, and CMMS close-out documentation
- Enforce safety procedures, including LOTO, NFPA 70E, confined-space, and hot-work requirements
- Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, commissioning, and outages
- Coordinate with engineering, operators, utilities, vendors, contractors, buyers, and accounts payable
- Communicate plant status, team performance, and escalated issues to the Manager
- Coach technicians and establish performance standards
