About the Role
You will lead multiple concurrent AI data center builds from site diligence and design through commissioning and turnover. You will manage construction leaders, contractors, utilities, design consultants, budgets, procurement, stakeholder governance, safety, quality, and portfolio delivery standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years of data center, mission-critical, or large-scale construction experience, including 5+ years leading owner-side hyperscale or AI data center construction
- Experience delivering multiple concurrent builds or campuses totaling 300MW+ with $1B+ capital budgets
- Experience delivering high-density or liquid-cooled AI/ML data centers
- Experience with self-build, colocation, third-party delivery, and tenant fit-outs
- Knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, MV/HV power, substation interconnection, and Level 1–5 commissioning
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- PE, PMP, OSHA 30/40-Hour, or LEED certification
- Construction leadership experience at a hyperscaler, AI cloud provider, or large data center developer
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent AI data center builds through ready-for-service
- Build, lead, mentor, and recruit construction managers, project managers, and discipline leads
- Standardize construction processes, playbooks, and reporting
- Lead multidisciplinary design reviews
- Coordinate power interconnection, utilities, EPC partners, permitting, and energization
- Deliver liquid cooling and high-density power infrastructure
- Coordinate base-building, network, fiber, and rack deployment work
- Plan and execute facility retrofits and conversions
- Own budgets, EAC forecasts, contingency, and value engineering
- Review and approve contractor change orders and scope changes
- Select and manage contractors, trade partners, consultants, and long-lead procurement
- Lead tenant and stakeholder communication
- Report status, risks, and options to executive leadership
- Enforce safety, QA/QC, commissioning, closeout, and compliance
