About the Role
You will establish and maintain technical accounting policies, advise on complex transactions, and prepare accounting memos. You will lead investor reporting and annual financial statements, coordinate audits, build SOX readiness and internal controls, support close processes, and improve accounting systems and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience building or scaling a technical accounting function
- Expertise in ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 470/835, ASC 805, ASC 718, ASC 505, and ASC 808
- Investor-facing reporting experience
- High-growth technology or AI infrastructure experience preferred
- Knowledge of usage-based and subscription models preferred
- Technical memo and investor disclosure writing experience
- Knowledge of AI infrastructure accounting issues
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain U.S. GAAP policies
- Advise on complex transactions and accounting treatment
- Partner on revenue recognition, leases, equity transactions, and strategic investments
- Draft technical accounting memos
- Implement new accounting standards
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Lead investor financial reporting packages
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and manage the annual audit
- Build SOX readiness and internal control processes
- Build scalable processes and documentation standards
- Support automation and ad hoc projects
