About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in building a future-ready network of partner banks and financial intermediaries across the Americas. You will identify and evaluate potential partnerships with payment processors, financial institutions, merchants, and other stakeholders to expand network reach. You will develop and execute payment network strategies aligned with company objectives, lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and SLAs, and design market entry strategies for new markets. You will research regulatory requirements, oversee payment service launches, and collaborate with Product, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering teams. You will cultivate relationships with partners, regulatory authorities, and industry associations while driving project management across key initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven track record in developing and executing payment network strategies within financial services or payments
- Deep experience identifying, building, and managing partnerships with payment processors, financial institutions, and merchants
- Strong C-suite relationship management and networking skills
- Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics across the US, Canada, Central America, and Latin America
- Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making
- Ability to anticipate evolving regulatory landscapes, partner risk appetite, and market disruptions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential partnerships with payment processors, financial institutions, merchants, and other stakeholders to expand network reach across the Americas
- Develop and execute comprehensive payment network strategies for the Americas region, aligned with company objectives and growth targets
- Lead negotiations and partnership discussions, including contract terms, pricing agreements, and SLAs
- Develop and implement market entry strategies for new markets, conducting research and assessing regulatory requirements
- Oversee payment service launches in new markets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering to ensure seamless execution of network initiatives
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, regulatory authorities, and industry associations
- Drive project management across key initiatives, representing the payment network team across multiple internal teams
