About the Role

You will oversee and enhance a bank compliance program, lead regulatory examinations and inquiries, advise stakeholders on regulatory requirements and emerging risks, drive governance and remediation initiatives, represent compliance in cross-functional forums, and manage and develop compliance professionals.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in legal compliance regulatory or risk management roles within financial services.
  • Significant experience with bank regulatory frameworks and OCC-regulated entities.
  • Experience leading regulatory examinations regulatory relationships and complex remediation or governance initiatives.
  • Significant experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with regulators and senior executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong risk focus attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business-focused and solution-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with asset management fiduciary activities collective investment funds and ERISA requirements is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree J.D. or equivalent professional qualification is welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer to oversee and enhance the compliance program.
  • Lead engagement with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency including examinations supervisory interactions regulatory inquiries and remediation.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory requests examinations and management reporting.
  • Implement and enhance compliance programs governance frameworks policies procedures testing and monitoring programs.
  • Advise business Legal Risk and Compliance partners on regulatory requirements new initiatives and emerging risks.
  • Drive strategic compliance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage and develop compliance professionals.
  • Represent Compliance in governance forums working groups and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives.
